Portrait Jean-Baptiste

I'm Jean-Baptiste. I've been photographing and filming weddings for over ten years, with one obsession: catching what you don't see the first time. The glances exchanged when no one is looking, the gestures that say more than words, the light that turns a banal moment into an image that will outlast time.

Trained in documentary photography, I built my approach watching great reporters more than classic wedding photographers. That's where our signature comes from — a cinematic reportage: held frames, crafted light, honest emotions. Nothing posed, nothing forced. Just what happens, told with intention.

Over the years, I've gathered around me a team I chose one by one. Mounir and Peter work alongside me on the day — a second photographer and filmmaker attuned to the moment, able to anticipate without ever disturbing. Cassandra runs production and keeps in touch with you, from the very first enquiry to the final delivery. Choosing Jaysphotography means entrusting your day to a tight-knit collective that has worked together for years.

We take a limited number of weddings per season — about fifteen, no more — to be fully present for each couple. We complement with maternity, newborn, and a few private events close to our heart. Based in Oise, we shoot in Paris, across Île-de-France, throughout France, and abroad for reportages that deserve it.

What guides our work

01

Discretion

We never make ourselves noticed. Your event is not our showcase.

02

Rigour

Every photo retouched by hand, every film colour-graded frame by frame. No automation, no compromise.

03

Durability

Your images must last fifty years, not follow a seasonal trend.
